I have the latest Prefix.dbf

Today, Z81D was on 20M ssb. When I click on the call in the spot log, the correct data on South Sudan shows up in the Info window, buty the Progres for DXCC window reads "Z8 not found".

I think the ARRL has approved Z8 for DXCC, so it should show up in the Progress window

I do see Z8, ST0 in the Prefix.dbf file.

I think this is a bug.

The Prefix.dbf I accidentally overwrote the other day displayed Z8 correctly.

Ok, there is no problem with the prefix table in this regard. The prefix table has nothing to do with awards progress tracking (and it does look up and track OK here).

It sounds like you are missing the Z8 entry from the DXCC list in Tools/Setup/List of Valid Values.
Go thru this rigamarole

but skip the part about getting the prefix list from that post. The main thing there is the picture hihi.

Ok. After entering 521 next to MISC and pressing OK it tells me "No Matching Records Found".

Ok, that explains it, tho not sure how it was working before.

Anyway, click the + button on the Lists Table form to add a new record, then type in the info as shown on the screen shot attached to that post I referenced.

OK, but now I am concerned since this Prefix.dbf is the one that came with version 049 and I haven't made any changes to it.

So, either something deleted the entry in the DXCC list or there's something else wrong with the code.

Again, I haven't made any changes to the Prefix.DBF file nor the DXCC list.

Ok, don't worry about the prefix table. As I said, it has nothing to do with awards tracking. You could delete every record in it and still track awards -- you would just have to log every country, zone etc manually.

Anyway, it looks like something deleted the South Sudan record. Please just add it back. Or import the attached DXCC list (Save DXCC.DBF some somewhere -- anywhere you can find it, not in the LOGic folder. Then use the IMPORT LIST button on the Lists of Valid Values screen). Do awards/update awards progress info. If that doesn't take care of it I can log into your machine and check it out.

We never put South Sudan in an official tables update because it came live long before the ARRL assigned a number and their govt assigned an official prefix. So people added it themselves using whatever and it needed changing afterwards.

Tnx & 73,

I don't see where my DXCC.DBF file is located. In fact, if I search my hard drive I can't find ANY file called DXCC.dbf

Hi--

It will be located whereever you save it to. When downloading, select SAVE AS and put it in c:\ is the simplest. You should delete it after import.

But it is a simple matter to type it in. Go to tools/setup/lists of valid values. Click the + button. Type in everything as shown in z8.png, which is attached to this post:
