Dennis, I would like to use Logic 9 on a separate laptop as a backup to my main computer. I find I can't update the backup computer because it shows my subscription has run out. I still have until December on my main computer. How can I use a second computer with the same subscription as my main computer? Thanks and 73, Ron

On the main machine, from the start menu, run the LOGic Updater. Check the box to "Retain file after installation." Quit when it actually starts the install. Copy that EXE (usually saved on the desktop) over to the new machine. Run it. LOGic should all run and have your info. Quit and then copy over your data.

Don, thank you for the hint. However when I attempted to run the update on my backup, Login came up saying my subscription had expired last year and would not load the program.

I will have to contact Dennis directly, I suppose.

Thank you for the help,

Ron

Hi Ron:

Copy your LOGic license file from your new setup to your old. It is named LOGIC.LICENSE and is located in the LOGic install folder, which is typically c:\program files (x86)\LOGic.

Or, install your last update subscription on the backup computer.

Let me know if any questions.

Tnx for using LOGic.

73,

Dennis WN4AZY
